should be:
mount /dev/$MASTER /mnt/master

Please send that bug report to the "gnumed" developpers and not to us.
We are the developpers of the savannah project.

However, it was a lucky accident that you sent this to the wrong list because
I was just starting to make some scripts to remaster the Knoppix CD and I've
discovered from your message that the gnumed people have already done such
script.
