Details:

I get mails from mailman telling me there's a mail in the moderation queue.
But when I visit the moderation page, there is nothing there. The mail doesn't
actually go through either, it just gets lost it seems.

I've seen this several times, so it's not just a one-time thing. What is going
on here?

The mail I got:

Follow-up Comment #1:

Hi - by default, mailing lists are set up to have automatic spam removal (and
real-mail approval) -- see http://listhelper.nongnu.org for details. If you
prefer to handle all the junk mail yourself, remove ***@nongnu.org as a
moderator.

If you don't want to get the messages from mailman, you can replace your
address in the owner field with listhelper-***@nongnu.org (you'll still
be able to log in to the list and do stuff), or just filter it with procmail
or whatever:
^Subject: .*[ _]moderator[ _]request.*[ _]waiting
^Subject: confirm [0-9af]+$

Hope this helps, let me know if still questions.
