Details:

I've really got myself into a bind here.

I can't confirm my account, despite receiving the email, because apparently
the password I have is incorrect. I can't change my password, because my
account is unconfirmed.

I thought that I would be able to solve this problem myself, by waiting for
three days until my account was automatically deleted. I tried to register
again today and was unable to, because my account is still here.

Could you please manually activate my account, so I can change my password?
Or, alternatively, could you delete my account so I can start again?

Follow-up Comment #1:

You were very savvy if you knew to wait three days and the account would
expire. I am not sure why it did not.

Instead of deleting it I activated it. Please use the Lost Password recovery
sequence to recover the password for the account. It will send email to your
email address on file.

Let us know if that doesn't work for you. Actually it is appreciated if you
let us know that it works and you are able to get logged in!
