Details:

Hello,

I made an fxt-0.3.4 release a long time ago, and not all mirrors seem to have
caught up: downloading

http://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/fkt/fxt-0.3.4.tar.gz

works on some mirrors but not all, which makes it very inconvenient for
installation scripts etc.

Samuel

I am hoping that Assaf will find the time to jump in here as he is the real
expert on the mirrors. Until then I will jump in with the limited capacity
that I have here.

Can you identify a specific mirror that is exhibiting this problem? The
mirror monitoring thinks everything is looking pretty good at the moment.

Being able to identify the problem mirror should help in diagnosing why the
mirmon isn't reporting the problem. Thanks!

Sorry, I skipped that part :)

It fails on http://mirror6.layerjet.com/nongnu/fkt/fxt-0.3.4.tar.gz

Hi,

I wrote a longer reply in sv-hk-public@ .
It's not appearing on the mailman website, but will appear here:
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/savannah-hackers-public/2017-10/index.html

In short, I find that this specific French mirror (mirror6.layerjet.com) is
broken, but all others seem fine.

Perhaps we should temporarily remove it from the mirror list until they fix
it.

Samuel,
Do you experience this "missing file" issue on other mirrors?

-assaf

Hello,

I only experience it on this mirror. But it happened to be chosen very often
from France. Now that it got removed, I never have any issue.

Samuel

Follow-up Comment #5:

Currently http://mirror6.layerjet.com/nongnu/fkt/fxt-0.3.4.tar.gz works.
Closing the request.
